THE NIETZCHE - WAGNER OPERA

I find it remarkable, the opera that was written in real life, by Nietzche and Wagner.

According to the Great Books, and the life of the philosopher Nietzche, he was a friend of the musician Richard Wagner until such time they encountered a difference regarding religious philosophical matters.

Their paths separated and Wagner wrote the opera Persival and Nietzche ended up having sleepless nights and wrote his work “The Antichrist” and became ill and died of some whore associated disease in the end.

Almost in a manner of making a work of art from some of the references in the Bible with the Jesus or the Christ figure and his antichrist and what happens to the antichrist.

With Nietzche it is actually so much more capturing, his view on what happens to the antichrist a la the passages of the Bible and in “becoming” this “Antichrist” he is making his last final, masterpiece statement towards the difference of opinions with Wagner:

…. Richard Wagner must then be Christ, as he, Nietzche dies being the “Antichrist” and he is giving Richard Wagner the white flag: you were right, so right about your views you are Christ like. The matter must have bothered Nietzche tremendously, the difference of opinion he had with Richard Wagner – but how fair it was towards Wagner the statement he then made…I find it another way of stating in a dramatical way towards Wagner of all people, being a very fine musician, to answer Richard on his own platform, the arts.

Wagner being such fine musician, only in fine art have Nietzche showed to the rest of history in the same manner, that they had a difference of opinion regarding religious philosophical matters, by way of his own life.

By way of stating himself to be “like” the antichrist, to die like the so believed “antichrist” should die [Nietzche hereby express his own view on how the antichrist will die where the interpretation of the Bible and the stand the Church took in those days, were very much the centre of the religious philosophy Nietzche addressed during his life] in the way his death finally takes place.

With the way he dies, he makes the final statement – he died from a disease associated with someone who leads a sexually reckless life, his life was full of “antichrist” talk or thoughts labelled as such, yet he and Richard Wagner had a major difference on some religious philosophical matter and after this difference in opinion, Nietzche set out and write his “The Antichrist” and the rest of his life followed until his death of some disease associated with the “Great whore” or then: Nietzche’s view on the disease a great whore should die of. And as said already, with this dramatic statement, dying as the great whore from a whore like disease, he is making of Richard Wagner the Christ figure.

This is a possibility of things that can happen. Of statements that can be made. As every person received freedom to do as they choose – even on the level of their higher aspect. As this type of statement made by Nietzche could only have been achieved by way of the higher aspect of Nietzches’ involvement.

This tragedy between Nietzche and Wagner, is a brilliant expression though, of how freedom is exercised and I must say this: Nietzche, you did succeed to be one of the greatest philosophers ever. As when one consider your life and work, and Richard Wagner’s position then being the “Christ”, …

…so many questions you and others of your time probably dealt with gets to a peak. With the life and death of Nietzche, history has now got a “Christ”, in the person of Richard Wagner, a musician who composed operas as Nietzche lived and die his “The Antichrist”.

The great question then being; will the church accept Richard Wagner’s religious ideas or even his operas as: Richard Wagner, the Christ? After being stipulated in the life and death of Nietzche as being the Christ.

This tale is a beautiful tale though. As the church – the Christian church I know today, is merely trying to be of help to still be there as many has based their culture on this religion and how dare one try and take this carpet, part of the culture of many, away suddenly. Christians are not the only ones who have their religion as part of their culture, or having it make out a great part of their culture. Doesn’t really matter the struggles in opinions it has caused to this day since forever, the religious aspect of man. It is part of life. Having an opinion is part of life. It is seated in the freedom everybody has to even have it at all and on all levels of themselves.

Then we get the tale Nietzche wrote as result of his opinion difference with Richard Wagner. Richard, your opinion is so great, that Nietzche will go off in a huff and a puff and write his “The antichrist” and then die something similar a la Nietzche to the “antichrist” of the last Bible book.

Now, then, Richard Wagner’s opinion has been declared in this process as: you are so right, your opinion must be God like or something similar. Fantastic Richard for having such a brilliant opinion for Nietzche to got so upset and in such a huff and a puff to make such a statement about the opinion you had. What, if I may ask, was the opinion Nietzche felt was God like or something similar? The funny thing is, Richard Wagner was made a Christ figure for this opinion and I don’t have any clue if anybody will ever know what that opinion was that caused this major drama to unfold in history. What was this opinion that made Richard Wagner a Christ figure a la the life and work of Nietzche?

To me, people do this kind of thing if they want to make music. This is what Nietzche did, he made music his way and banged his drum his way.

Richard didn't want to hear his point of view, so Nietzche went out there and banged his own drum, his way.
